Baseline Evaluation for Strengthened Partnership for Nurturing Care

The main aim of the outcome study was to identify changes in outcomes and output indicators as they related to the project objectives between baseline and endline. Of particular interest to the outcome study are the following objectives.

i. Objective 1: Multisectoral ECD coordination is strengthened between Chibombo District government multisectoral partners, development partners, and Chibombo Child Development Agency (CCDA) to expand nurturing care knowledge and services to vulnerable caregivers of infants and young children aged 0-3 by 2021.
ii. Objective 2: Community-based child protection is strengthened for improving the safety and security of infants and young children aged 0-3 in targeted communities in Chibombo District by 2021.

Data were collected between November-December 2019 in the six targeted communities (Kabile, Kalola, Katuba, Keembe, Mungule, and Namayani) in Chibombo District, Zambia. Both qualitative and quantitative data were collected from caregivers, CSS mentors/facilitators, and national-, district- and community-level stakeholders and development partners.
